In many parts of the area vibrations occur in different forms to allow for various conclusions as to the condition of a plant. Analysing and evaluating these condition indicators correctly is decisive for the reliable, secure and therefore economic operation of a plant.

In the department of machinery dynamics, we concentrate on the vibrational behavior of certain machine types - especially rotating and oscillating machines. Over the years, we have gained extensive experience with compressors, pumps, turbines as well as gas, diesel and electrical engines. Furthermore, we have proven our expertise in many special applications like:

  • paper manufacturing plants
  • corrugated cardboard plants
  • printing machines (offset, rotary)
  • bulk goods and sorting machines
  • wind turbine systems
  • power plants
  • presses

Our services als consulting engineers in the field of machinery dynamics encompass two areas:

Troubleshooting or "emergeny response" on existing plants, e.g. in case of imminent production downtimes or damages. Such problems often occur during commissioning, capacity enhancements or changes in the operating sequence. We will usually conduct measurements in the short-term. On that basis we can analyse the mechanism of action of the faulty condition. After determining the cause and, for example, the path of transmission of increased vibrations, we can work out and propose effective reduction measures.

Consultancy in the planning phase, e.g. during the design of a production plant with machinery types or plant parts which have to meet special requirements regarding the vibrational behavior or vibration protection, for example. For this, vibration insulations or measures for the reduction of vibrations are designed based on the basis of calculations.
